You will be involved in the larger and complex, new equipment projects within HyET Hydrogen and will focus on budget, costs monitoring, project realisation, review, analysis and advising project managers.

As our new Project Controller, you are part of the financial department and work closely together with our project teams and project managers.

You will be involved in the larger and complex, new equipment projects within HyET Hydrogen and will focus on budget, costs monitoring, project realisation, review, analysis and advising project managers.

You will deliver all relevant project management information, control and challenge the project budgets and forecasts.

Together with the project manager you will enforce any (financial) processes and drive project improvements.

You ensure the project is executed within budget and make sure that there is proper project risk management in place

This new position has become open due to internal growth.

 

Working in close contact with our Finance team, your main responsibilities are:

  • Taking a lead position in the definition and realization of a project-based finance database and become a key user
  • Monitoring of project budgets and advising in project reporting and registration including improving the project administration
  • Prepare financial project information for project managers
  • Tracking of actual costs vs available budget per project
  • Tracking of actual margin vs budgeted margin per project
  • Responsible for intercompany alignment between HyET Hydrogen and its affiliates
  • Financial project forecast calculation, including revenue recognition through Percentage of Completion (PoC) or complete contract method (CCM)
  • Being highly involved in maintaining and improving current processes and setting up needed analysis
  • Involved in annual budget process and monthly rolling forecast
  • Involved in financial statements process (including contact with external parties, like (inter)national governmental agencies)
  • Top line P&L and order book analysis
  • Sparring partner for the project team and project managers and being involved in the monthly project review meetings

  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Economics, Business Administration, Business Management
  • Preferably 5 to 7 years relevant working experience in business/project control in a project driven company
  • Strong personality which has a positive/critical mindset, helicopter view, feels accountable
  • Strong analytical, communication skills, team focused and pragmatic
  • Knows how to turn data into management information
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English (spoken and written)
  • Excellent skills in MS-Office, especially Excel
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic and solution-oriented
