The Lead Engineer is responsible for allocating and managing the teams for key intellectual property technology and roducts include the Electrochemical Hydrogen Compressor and Purifier. Primary design milestones including the reduction of cost, commercialization, design for manufacturability and certification according to global standards.

The primary responsibility of the Lead Mechanical Engineer is the efficient management of key engineering designs for HyET Hydrogen’s key Intellectual Property and Products. The Lead Engineer is responsible to manage a team of junior and senior engineers (5-10 employees) to achieve the company’s milestones. The Lead Engineer is responsible for clear and concise communication directly with the COO.

The Lead Engineer is responsible for allocating and managing the teams for key intellectual property technology and roducts include the Electrochemical Hydrogen Compressor and Purifier. Primary design milestones including the reduction of cost, commercialization, design for manufacturability and certification according to global standards.

The Lead Engineer is responsible for product’s technical file management to ensure the product is complete, accurate and competitive in the growing renewable energy market.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • B.E. / B.TECH. / B.S. – Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 - 10 years applicable experience.
  • High competence and experience in software for process and CAD design such as Solidworks, Solidplant/AutoCAD.
  • Good competency in process engineering, HAZOP’s, P&ID and PFD’s.
  • Proficiency in English and Dutch; Written and Spoken.
  • Excellent technical, documentation, administration and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of process related local and international standards and certification, including CE Marking (ATEX and PED).
  • Analytical thinker with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience applicable to the High Pressure Gas and Energy industry will be beneficial.
  • An individual who is self-motivated, positive and can take initiative to improve processes and systems.
  • An individual that is interested in joining a fast-growing innovative team looking to become a market leader in the hydrogen field on a global market.

 

As the Lead Mechanical Engineer:

Manager of a multi-disciplinary, growing team (5 - 10 engineers); including resource tracking, planning and allocation across different projects.
Mechanical design, development and commercialization of key products and technology.
Implementation and maintenance of process systems such as PDM, technical drawing procedures and technical standards.

The Mechanical Department cooperates with the R&D, Electrical, Project and Production Department/teams to achieve:

Creative problem solving and design and development to achieve;

Designs Leading to Cost Reduction, Increase in Energy Efficiency, applicable certification and Validation.
Management of Vendor, Supply Chains, BoM control and Quality Assurance.
Supervision of Inventory and Production Resources.

Development of new product models to increase competitiveness and adapt to market trends.

The Lead Mechanical Engineer’s Specific Activities:

Report to Executive Management in a clear and concise manner on a regular basis regarding Key Product progress and development towards company milestones.
Track engineering department tasks, efficiencies, progress and accuracy using tools.
Expand HyET Hydrogen’s processes and procedures to improve overall efficiency and quality of work.
Perform critical and high priority engineering designs in an efficient and accurate manner using Design software and Engineering Calculations.
Create, maintain and approve the technical files of all key products, including drawing package, BoM, Manuals, Declarations, etc.
